The 611 is back and just as beautiful as ever! We love the sound of her whistle when she is coming and going by our office, it’s a sound like no other! We hope you all will purchase your tickets at www.virginiascenicrailway.com for an historical event. We don’t know how many more runs she will be making, but she is here through October 26th, 2025. Friday-Sunday, two 3.5 hour trips per day.
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, 1pm-5pm, the Town of Goshen will be having our annual Fall Festival. We will have Live Music, Bounce House, Bull Riding and Strong Man Competitions, Costume Judging for kids, (no one over the age of 17 will be judged), pumpkin painting for all ages while supplies last and delicious food available by Puff’s Bar-B-Q truck. All events will be on the grounds of our Community Center, 9742 Maury River Road. Everyone is invited. There is no entry fee for the live music or to get on the grounds. We will accept any and all monetary donations, people or pet food donations are also appreciated. We hope to have lots of vendors set up selling some awesome treats, corn hole bags, flowers, cups, trinkets,T-shirts, etc.
The Goshen Walking Warriors Cancer Fund will have a raffle-ticket table drawing for some nice prizes to include some vintage dolls, “My Pillow” pillow and sheet set, with a king size blanket, charcoal grill, a Nuwave Infrared Cooking System, and a couple of nice home interior pictures.
They will also be selling tickets for the current raffle for the 308 Mossberg Patriot rifle, Metal Art, Cash prizes, Handcrafted Bear afghan, Pizzas, and Firewood. The drawing for this raffle will occur during this event.
